But while these players are the ones who put the fans in the seats, it’s their counterparts on the opposite side of the ball who usually decide the outcome of the game.

T.J. Watt (+1100)
Anyone who sees T.J. as nothing more than J.J.’s kid brother clearly hasn’t been paying attention.
The younger Watt has quickly made a name for himself since entering the league in 2017, earning two Pro Bowl nods and a First-Team All-Pro selection. The face of the Pittsburgh Steelers defense finished third in last year’s Defensive Player of the Year voting. Expect him to be in the mix for the foreseeable future.
J.J. Watt (+1100)
The eldest Watt has been bitten by the injury bug the last few seasons, but he’s still a bonafide game wrecker. If the five-time All-Pro returns to form in 2020, there’s no reason why he can’t add a fourth Defensive Player of the Year award to his trophy case.
Nick Bosa (+900)
Bosa was everything the Niners hoped he’d be when they took him second overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Buckeye finished the season with nine sacks, 25 QB hits, one interception, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries, on his way to running away with the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. He’s worth the wager in 2020.
Aaron Donald (+700)
Donald’s résumé speaks for itself.
He’s been to the Pro Bowl in each of his first six seasons, he’s a five-time First-Team All-Pro, and he won back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2017 and 2018. Simply put, he’s the most dominant defensive force in the game today — and he’s only 28. That’s why he’s the favorite in 2020.
