Ruling

Resolved - The player became non-responsive to us after we pointed out that the style of play they engaged in would always draw extra scrutiny from any casino security team. That being the case we can't establish whether they did actually breach any casino terms and conditions.

Hi wizregos43 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

The bad news is that the only other complaint we've dealt with against Paddy Power they refused to discuss. The good news is after contact them they reviewed the issue internally and resolved it themselves.

I'll contact the casino and see what I can do.

Before I do that I need to know whether you breached any of the following rules:

Placing single bets equal to or in excess of 30% of the value of the bonus before the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met.
EG – You deposit £/€100, accept a £/€100 bonus and place a single bet of £/€60 on any game.
Moving from a low weighted game (20% or less) to a high weighted game (100%) after large wins for the purpose of clearing wagering requirements.
EG – You place at least one bet on any game weighted at 20% or less, win 100% more than your stake and move your original stake and winnings to a game in the above list weighted at 100% in order to meet wagering requirements.
Low risk Roulette bets. ANY bet spread combination on Roulette games covering 75% or more of the table. EG - You bet on Red and Black, You are covering 36 of the 37 possible outcomes, therefore this bet would not count towards any wagering requirements.'

Thanks,

ThePOGG

I never breached this term. I deposited 100 and took 400 pounds bonus, and I never bet more than 100 pounds on slots and never less than 40 pounds, I only played slots.

Hi wizregos43,

I'm going to be very frank here - while the play you describe above does not violate the terms I quoted, what it does do is make you stick out like a sore thumb.

There are very few genuine players that can afford to bet £100/spin on slots games and those that genuinely can are unlikely to either care about this amount of money or actually have this amount seized as they'll be seen as far too valuable to the operator. And I'm going to guess that after your big win you then dropped your bet to closer to the £40 mark. Again this doesn't follow the pattern of the average player who tend towards increasing their bets on hot streaks.

When it comes to high rollers, they don't tend to sign-up at a new operator and start betting that size. They'll test it out for a little while first before giving the operator their full trust.

In short, your play would automatically draw attention at which point the operator is going to start looking for other activity on other accounts, whether they won or lost, that bears uncharacteristic similarity to your own activity. I'm not talking about activity that could be considered coincidental, they'll look for strong indicators outside of the norm.

I'll contact Paddy Power, but I can tell you already how this issue is going to play out. They're going to state that this is a security issue and that they will not discuss it. At which point all I'm going to be able to do is direct you to their regulator the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.

If you're not involved in the operation of multiple accounts my recommendation would be to try and be less obvious about your skilled play in future. This style of betting is always going to get you in trouble.

I'll let you know what I hear back from Paddy Power.
