FaZe will probably end up picking Nuke while Inferno seems like a lock for Liquid. Right now, the odds on this match are nowhere near correct. Betting sites are offering 1.35 on Liquid beating FaZe while odds on FaZe to win are roughly around 3.00. We believe that there is a lot of value if you bet on FaZe in this one. Despite their struggles, Astralis is treated as the favorite here. Can FaZe take advantage of their recent lackluster performances? Let’s get a perspective on both teams and move on to my betting prediction and pick.
FaZe Current Form
The team posted impressive kill stats in the first phase of the tournament but have not been able to replicate the same form in Stage 2.
After taking an early lead against Fnatic on Sunday, FaZe dropped both remaining rounds with an especially worrying 16-6 loss on Inferno.
A game against mousesports followed up but the only positive FaZe can take from that is a good team performance on Train. Their opponents controlled the bulk fo the rounds and ran out deserved winners in the end.
The team will rely heavily on broky, NiKo and rain to have another good outing as they will definitely need to be on their A-game if they are to challenge Astralis.
Phase 2 of the ESL Pro League hasn’t gone according to plan for the Danes. They were pinned against rivals Natus Vincere in the first round and despite hammering them on Inferno, they completely crumbled on Dust II and Train.
The next game against Fnatic was to provide an easy way for the team to get back on track but it all went very wrong. The Swedes edged a tight first round on Dust II and then handed Astralis another L on Inferno.
Maps have definitely played a part in the Danes’ recent downfall and we should praise the efforts of their opponents. However, the Astralis roster has themselves to blame as players like Xyp9x and device have largely underperformed.
Despite that, seasoned pros with such quality tend to correct things sooner rather than later and the game against FaZe is a great opportunity to do that.
FaZe vs. Astralis Prediction and Pick
I’m fairly confident Astralis will come out on top here. It’s true that FaZe is fighting for their lives but so are their opponents and they usually react well when pinned against the wall.
FaZe has the quality but lacks the discipline to compete at this level and their awesome kill numbers have dried up recently.
Given that the favorites do have problems right now I feel the Over market is the best choice here.
The Danes will definitely look to dominate but are showing weaknesses on some of the maps where FaZe has been decent. There will also be a bit of a mental block in the Astralis ranks after failing to win their last two games so I can definitely see this going to a third round.
- Over 2.5

Another day, another bunch of StarLadder Major surprises to talk about. However, this article isn’t going to be a recap. Instead, this article will be focusing on the upcoming round of Bo3 matches which decide the next teams to advance to the Champions Stage as well as those who’ll soon be packing their bags. More precisely, this article revolves around CR4ZY vs. Astralis predictions and will thoroughly analyze the match and all of its aspects.
Whether you’re interested in CS:GO betting, or you’re just a hardcore fan who wants to be in the know before the start of this match, I’m sure you’ll find this article informative and entertaining.
So, without further ado, let’s jump straight to the action!
CR4ZY vs. Astralis Predictions
First of all, this is the first time these teams play against each other. Even back in the days of Valiance, these two rosters never played a head to head match. That said, it will be exciting to see how the likes of Xyp9x, device, and Magisk square off against OttoNd, nexa, and huNter.
Map Pool Info
Astralis’ most played maps in 2019 are Inferno and Dust II. Their Inferno w/l ratio is at 90%, a respectable number by all means. Nuke, one of their strongest maps in 2018, has fallen to just 66.7% and could be up for grabs by the crazy Balkan boys.
Knowing CR4ZY’s map pool, they’ll most likely be okay with playing anything but Inferno. Yes, even Nuke… and yes, even Dust II. Their Mirage stats are breathtaking – 89%, eight wis.ns, and
only a single loss, and that was against Team Liquid two days ago.
As far as the Bo3 map pool goes, chances are high we’ll see Dust II and Nuke. While I’d love to see Astralis square off against them on Mirage, I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Vertigo gets to be the third map. What are your thoughts on my CR4ZY vs. Astralis predictions map-pool-wise? You can let me know in the comment section below.
Recent Matches
CR4ZY has played a ton of matches in the last month or so. Before the opening Legends Stage match against DreamEaters, Astralis’ last match was on 6th July when they lost against Vitality in Cologne.
CR4ZY played a total of 12 matches since the start of their StarLadder Berlin journey. Nine wins and three defeats, that’s CR4ZY’s W/L record since 17th July. Astralis’ last ten matches leave much to be desired. Six wins and four defeats, an awful ratio coming from the former best CS:GO team in the world.
Judging by these stats, it’s safe to say CR4ZY is in a slightly better form. True, their opponents were perhaps a bit easier than those of Astralis, but wins are wins… and they can easily transition from playing against sides such as Grayhound and NoChance to winning against the likes of NiP and FaZe.
Key Players
Astralis Vs Faze Prediction
Everyone on CR4ZY’s roster had a match in which they perform excellently. Yes, even LETN1 who, truth be told, hasn’t been in the best of form in Berlin. OttoNd’s AWPing style might be of crucial importance coming into this matchup, but then again, so could nexa’s fragging potential which has often been sky high. EspiranTo’s sick juan deag’s shouldn’t be forgotten either.
If they enter the match without too much respect for Astralis, CR4ZY’s fragging potential could be through the roof. They want this win. They need this win. Not only would it push them to the Champions Stage but it would also guarantee them a spot on the next Major’s Legends Stage. And for such a young roster, that’s as big of a prize as it gets!
Thus far, Astralis’ top fragger, device, wasn’t near his maximum. Yes, his overall stats aren’t that bad, but his total contributions towards winning rounds just weren’t good enough up to this point. Magisk came in as the man of the hour, alongside Xyp9x who seems like a solid all-around fragger despite not having that sick clutching efficiency he became known for.
CR4ZY vs. Astralis Final Predictions
CR4ZY is on an upward spiral yet again, and that could be the thing that brings them a competitive advantage ahead of their R4 high matchup against Astralis.
However, The Great Danes shouldn’t be taken for granted here. Even though they had two poor displays, they’re still a force to be reckoned with, both individually and teamwork-wise. They’re a difficult team to play against and, given as this is a Bo3 matchup, their map pool depth could work in their favor.
But then again, CR4ZY already showed everyone they mean business. They can go head to head with the best of them, and I reckon they won’t be shy to show off their might against Astralis.
Once again, individually, both teams are neck and neck. Depth-wise (map pool), the story seems pretty even too.
What will be the deciding factor here?
Faze Vs Astralis Prediction 2019
Well, I believe this match will be decided by Astralis’ ability to adapt to aggressive and unpredictable plays by CR4ZY. Unfortunately for the Great Danes, they won’t be able to win this match in the banning phase. Furthermore, they won’t be able to win it on pure dueling strength either. Especially knowing CR4ZY’s prowess on open-ended maps such as Mirage and Overpass.
As for my final CR4ZY vs. Astralis predictions, here goes nothing:
Faze Vs Astralis Prediction Real Madrid
If Astralis manages to win their map pick, which is most likely going to be Inferno (assuming CR4ZY doesn’t ban it), and manage to contain CR4ZY’s aggression on Mirage or Overpass, I reckon the greatest CS:GO team of all time might go through with a decisive win.
Faze Vs Astralis Prediction Juventus
On the other hand, if CR4ZY set the game’s pace early on, prevent Astralis from countering their aggression and brute force their way through Inferno, the almighty Balkan team ought to perform another scalp and reach the Champions Stage as one of the biggest underdogs in CS:GO history. Yes, even more significant than ENCE in Poland…
